THE EVIDENCE

OUR PRE-LAUNCH USER TRIAL.

IN FULL. WITH EVERY CAVEAT.

11 participants.
Six weeks.
17 metrics measured.
Full methodology, full results, honest limitations, and the questions we know people will ask. Answered up front.

TRIAL CONDUCTED FROM 1 FEBRUARY TO 12 MARCH 2026.

AT A GLANCE

  • 11 participants, mixed age (30–65), mixed gender, mixed ethnicity.
  • Participants included people on GLP-1 weight loss journeys, postpartum recovery, ageing, and body recomposition through fitness.
  • Six-week trial window; minimum four weeks of consistent use before feedback.
  • Participants reported improvements in hydration, firmness, elasticity, smoothness and radiance across all eleven responses.
  • 9 out of 11 (82%) reported improved skin comfort — two participants did not as they took part in LED only. We're publishing both numbers.
  • Every participant said they would continue using the products and would recommend the routine.

This was an observational, self-reported user trial — not a clinical trial. We explain the difference, the limitations, and what we do and don't claim, further down the page.

WHY WE RAN THIS TRIAL

"Before ElastiK° Skin launched to the public on 14 April 2026, I wanted real people to use the full Skin in Evolution™ system routine in their own homes, in their own routines, and tell me honestly, what they noticed.
"Not because we needed marketing. Because I needed to know it worked outside of myself.
"I've been on my own journey with skin, body change, and the skincare industry's failure to meaningfully speak to people going through real transformation. The whole reason ElastiK° Skin exists is because I couldn't find something built for skin in evolution.... skin that's been through weight loss, postpartum recovery, ageing, or body change.
"So between 1 February and 12 March 2026, we gave 11 people the full five-product routine, asked them to follow it consistently, and captured their feedback at the end through a structured questionnaire. What they reported back forms the basis of this page."

— Marc McKee, Founder, ElastiK° Skin

THE ROUTINE WE TESTED

Every participant received and was instructed to follow the full Skin in Evolution™ topical routine:
REGENESIS COMPLEX
COLLAGEN ARCHITECT SERUM
EVOLVE SERUM
HYDRATION CONTINUUM GEL
RESILIENCE MATRIX NIGHT CREAM
Seven of the eleven participants additionally used the ELASTIK° LED FACE & NECK MASK alongside the routine.
Four participants used the topical framework only. Two participants only used the LED therapy. This allowed us to observe whether the LED mask contributed additional reported effects beyond the topical system.

HOW THE TRIAL WAS RUN

We're walking through this in detail because we want every part of the methodology visible.... not buried.

RECRUITMENT

Participants were drawn from two sources: members of the active GLP-1 community online (people already engaged in the space), and personal contacts of the founder.

We've been transparent about this because recruitment source affects how findings should be interpreted.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

Age: 30 to 65

Gender: Mixed (male and female)

Ethnicity: Mixed - Black, White & Asian Ethnicities

Reasons for participation: GLP-1 weight loss journeys, postpartum recovery, ageing, body recomposition through fitness

TRIAL WINDOW

1 February – 12 March 2026 (six weeks available). Participants were instructed to follow the routine consistently and were asked to provide feedback covering a minimum of four weeks of use.

Some participants completed the full six weeks.

DATA CAPTURE

Feedback was collected at the end of the trial via a standardised online questionnaire covering 17 items across four categories: skin appearance (7 items), skin feel (3 items), routine experience (2 items), LED mask sub-cohort (3 items), and overall experience (2 items).

Participants also identified their most noticeable improvement, selected their favourite products, and provided optional free-text feedback.

COMPLIANCE

Adherence to the routine was self-reported via the post-trial questionnaire. No independent compliance monitoring was conducted.

INCENTIVES

Participants received the full Skin in Evolution™ system routine to use at no cost during the trial. No cash payment was made.

Participants were not required to leave positive feedback as a condition of receiving the products, and were free to report neutral or negative findings.

THE RESULTS

SKIN APPEARANCE

After following the routine for a minimum of four weeks, participants reported the following:

Outcome Reported %
More hydrated 11 / 11 100%
Smoother / more refined 11 / 11 100%
Brighter / more radiant 11 / 11 100%
Firmer / more elastic 11 / 11 100%
More plump / cushioned 11 / 11 100%
Healthier overall 11 / 11 100%
More glowing / radiant 11 / 11 100%

SKIN FEEL

Outcome Reported %
Softer / more supple 11 / 11 100%
More comfortable / less tight 9 / 11 82%
More resilient / supported over time 11 / 11 100%

About the 82%. Two participants did not report improved skin comfort. We're leading with this — not burying it — because it matters. A trial where every metric comes back at 100% should make you suspicious. The fact that not everyone reported an improvement on this specific feel-based outcome is what tells you the other responses were answered honestly.

ROUTINE AND OVERALL OUTCOMES

Outcome Response %
Products were easy to incorporate into existing routine 11 / 11 100%
Encouraged greater skincare consistency 11 / 11 100%
Would continue using the products 11 / 11 100%
Would recommend the routine to someone experiencing skin changes or ageing 11 / 11 100%

LED COHORT (7 participants)

Of the seven participants who additionally used the ElastiK° LED Face & Neck Mask alongside the topical routine:

  • Reported improvement in overall skin appearance 7 of 7
  • Found the mask easy to integrate into their routine 7 of 7

MOST NOTICEABLE IMPROVEMENTS

When asked which single improvement stood out most:

  • Hydration 5 participants
  • Overall skin quality 2 participants
  • Glow and radiance 2 participants
  • Firmness and elasticity 2 participants

FAVOURITE PRODUCTS FROM THE ROUTINE

Participants could select more than one:

  • Resilience Matrix Night Cream 8 of 11 (73%)
  • Hydration Continuum Gel 8 of 11 (73%)
  • ElastiK° LED Face & Neck Mask 6 of 11 (55%)
  • Evolve Serum 3 of 11 (27%)

WHAT WE DO & DO NOT CLAIM

We want to be unambiguous about this because it matters both legally and ethically.

WHAT ELASTIK° SKIN DOES NOT CLAIM

ElastiK° Skin does not claim to cure, reverse, or eliminate excess or extreme loose skin. No topical skincare product can do that. Significant skin laxity following major weight loss typically requires medical or surgical intervention.

We do not claim that ElastiK° Skin is a medical device, a treatment, or a cure for any condition. The products are cosmetic skincare.

We do not describe our brand user trial as a clinical study. It is an observational user trial.

WHAT ELASTIK° SKIN DOES CLAIM

The Skin in Evolution™ System routine is a cosmetic skincare system designed to support skin through change by targeting hydration, elasticity, firmness, and barrier function. Formulations include peptides, hyaluronic acid, ceramides, bakuchiol, and other evidence-informed cosmetic ingredients commonly used in modern skincare.

The trial documented on this page supports the position that a diverse group of real-world users, following the framework consistently, self-reported improvements in the appearance and feel of their skin across nine of the ten skin-outcome metrics measured.

WHAT OUR PARTICIPANTS SAID

Before ElastiK° Skin launched, 11 people used the full Skin in Evolution™ framework for six weeks and told us exactly what they noticed. These are their words, taken directly from the post-trial questionnaire.

Participant 1

Red light therapy was the best part, and I noticed a real difference in my skin after a few weeks of use.

Participant 4

I can't believe the compliments I've been getting for my skin! The Hydration Continuum Gel has been a game changer!

Participant 7

My stomach area feels tighter. I really loved how the creams smell too.

Participant 6

For the longest time I have had issues with my skin. It's hard to find products for day and night that don't cause skin irritation — ElastiK is literally a game changer. I will recommend this to anyone who is on a GLP-1 as most of us suffer with our skin. My skin feels soft and is glowing. This is my new skin routine. I'm in love.

Participant 8

Fine lines reduced and skin is starting to firm up again. Skin brightening over 6 weeks of daily use.

Participant 9

The LED mask is amazing — loving the glow so far. Skin feels firmer, smoother, and more radiant with each use. As for the skincare routine products, I see visible results in my skin's firmness and elasticity. All round my skin is visibly looking healthier. Looking forward to seeing future results in the weeks ahead.

Participant 11

I loved the feel of the Hydration Continuum Gel and the barrier cream because they just seemed to sink into my skin and did not feel rubbery.

All of the products are simple to use without complicated instructions, which I love.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

IS THIS A CLINICAL TRIAL?

No. Clinical trials involve independent medical supervision, instrumental measurement of skin properties, and statistical analysis. Ours was a structured observationaluser trial. We've never called it a clinical trial and we don't position it as one.

WHY ONLY 11 PEOPLE?

This was a pre-launch, self-funded, in-house trial. We chose to run a smaller, closely observed trial with a diverse group of real-world participants across multiple body-change contexts, rather than outsource a larger consumer perception study to a third-party agency. The trade-off is a smaller sample size in exchange for full transparency about methodology, recruitment, and limitations — which most consumer perception studies don't publish.

HOW DOES THIS COMPARE TO INDUSTRY STANDARDS?

Most consumer skincare products are launched without any published user trial at all. Of those that do run trials, the majority are consumer perception studies outsourced to third-party agencies, typically with 30 or more participants, but usually without the methodology or limitations published publicly. We've chosen a different path: a smaller in-house trial with the methodology, data, limitations, and participant feedback all published openly. Readers can decide which approach they find more credible.

WERE PARTICIPANTS FRIENDS OR RELATIVES?

Participants were drawn from two sources: (1) members of the online GLP-1 community already engaged with the founder's content, and (2) personal contacts of the founder. Some participants were known to Marc personally. We've been transparent about this because recruitment source affects how findings should be interpreted.

WERE PARTICIPANTS PAID OR INCENTIVISED?

Participants received the full Skin in Evolution™ framework to use at no cost during the trial. No cash payment was made. Participants were not required to provide positive feedback as a condition of receiving the products, and were free to report neutral or negative findings. Two participants did, on the skin comfort metric.

WERE THERE ANY PARTICIPANTS THAT DROPPED OUT?

11 participants completed the trial and submitted the post-trial questionnaire. All 11 responses are included in the results on this page. No responses were excluded.

WHY AREN'T THERE BEFORE-AND-AFTER PHOTOS?

Because we didn't run the trial with standardised before-and-after imaging protocols. Credible photographic evidence requires consistent lighting, distance, and angle across time points — which is why it costs more and takes longer. Our next trial will include this.

WHY HAVEN'T YOU RUN A FULL CLINICAL TRIAL?

A full independent clinical trial with dermatologist supervision, instrumental measurement, and statistical significance typically costs between £25,000 and £80,000 per product, according to Business of Fashion's 2024 industry reporting. As a recently-launched small business brand, we've chosen to invest in our formulations, our launch, and our customers first. Formal clinical research is on our product development roadmap and we'll publish it when we do it.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING NEXT?

We are continuing to collect post-purchase customer feedback through our ongoing review programme. Our next planned user trial will include (a) a larger participant cohort, (b) standardised before-and-after imaging, and (c) recruitment independent of the founder's personal network. Longer term, we are exploring formal clinical research and academic partnerships with regional universities.

CAN I SEE THE RAW QUESTIONNAIRE?

The full post-trial questionnaire contained 17 structured items plus free-text feedback. Individual anonymised participant responses are retained on file and may be made available on reasonable request for press, academic, or regulatory enquiries via hello@elastikskin.com.
